Melia Tortuga Beach - Santa Maria

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was great, with super clean common areas and a pristine beach. The hotel facilities were great, providing us with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The location was perfect, as it was close to the beach and allowed us to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The staff was helpful and attentive, always ensuring that we had everything we needed.

Amilcar Cabral airport was hardly 20 minutes away by car. Located in 2 miles from funana casa da cultura. We loved the fact that we chose melia tortuga beach.

The room was spacious and the view was breathtaking, perfect to wake up to. The location was great as it was close to shops and restaurants. The breakfast was, hands down, the best meal of the day.

The staff were rude and unhelpful making the stay less enjoyable. The walls were thin and we could hear everything going on in the neighbouring rooms which disrupted our sleep.

we didnt have hot water in our room most of the time - it was very dependant on the time the pool bar didnt have all the food out at the time of opening - you always had to wait for about 20-30mins

the exclusive amenities provided in the room were exceptional. the Spa & wellness centre fulfilled our needs and the outdoor swimming pool was refreshing. the location advantages were perfect, with beach access at our doorstep. the entertainment was fantastic and the bar/lounge area was great for relaxing. the restaurant provided delicious food and the snack bar had a good range of tasty snacks. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the private facilities were exclusive and comfortable.

Musica nem sempre adecuada. Not always the best music. If you feel like relaxong,probably you won't love the house music that passes at the swimming pool and beach bar.

Staff lacked training but they were helpful. The venue is amazing. The variety and quality of food was superb

Quality of furnishing was generally below standard and the bathrooms were small.

Just spent an amazing New Year at this resort. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. the location was perfect, just a short walk from the beach and restaurants. the pool area was never overcrowded and we always managed to find a good sunbed. the all-inclusive package was great value with plenty of food choices and drinks available.

The entertainment was a bit lacking, although it may have been due to the holiday period. the rooms could have been cleaner, but they were comfortable and spacious.

I choose this hotel due to no other hotels available. However all inclusive system is so vwry good. And clean.

Problems are the air conditioner didn't function and drink service did not follow. Those images are very bad. Maybe educetion to staff is not good.

All inclusive plan is the best. I enjoyed nice stay here.

There are many insects in some open air restaurant. Hotel staffs were minding it, for example covering prastic wrap etc.

Very beautiful resort. Helpful staff. Attentive management. Fantastic, well-designed apartment. Spacious surroundings, perfect for relaxing.

Consistently no replacement towels, dirty towels (when replaced), rude staff, extermely bad food in all 4 restaurants, bad quality all incl drinks, very limited gym equipment (1x running machine for over 1000 guests!?), dirty spa that smelt of mould and had clear eveidence of mould, no hairdryer in rooms, no wifi in rooms, wifi chargeable, long ques for booking table at restaurant, having to pre-order food night before from a choice of three options etc etc etc

A very beautiful resort with the vast majority of staff being very helpful. Management were attentive and always willing the help when they could. The apartment was fantastic, very well designed and very spacious. A place to really relax and enjoy the beauty of the ones surroundings.

Although it did not detract from the overall experience there could be some enhancements to the services. The Grill bar always seemed to have problems with the number of glasses available for drinks. The poolside bar did not provide coffee although there was a coffee machine and when I asked for a coffee was told to go the the other areas. As we stayed for 14 nights the same menus each evening for the evening meals at the Grill, Waterside & Aqua did make it slightly limited on what one could eat. Although Spices had a variety to choose from we did on a few occasions have to wait for plates for the buffet. It also ran out occasionally of some dishes therefore having to wait for them to be replaced usually with half a plate of food that we had already deposited prior to noticing no veg etc.
